Where have I been? Everywhere but here lately. There was a temporary shift in priorities and am now returning to my passions, including interior design.
There are thoughts I plan to continue to elaborate on from my visit to the Richmond Design House last month. It was exciting to see this project receive recognition in the media, including The Washington Post. I hope there will be more to see in home design magazines to come.
A number of newly and yet-to-be released design books are appearing this Fall. Many I pre-ordered and have begun to receive, including Victoria Hagan Interior Portraits, Chris Madden The Soul of a House and Timeless Elegance: The Houses of David Easton. I was also excited to see interior designer, Mary Douglas Drysdale's work featured in The Decorative Carpet: Fine Handmade Rugs in Contemporary Interiors. My bookcase runneth over, but well worth introducing my eyes to new design perspective.
Please bear with me as I continue to get my feet back on the ground. Meanwhile, I have many blogs to catch up on via Google Reader. Over a 1000 posts....what's a girl to do? It can seem overwhelming. Fortunately, inspiration is never-ending.
