As I was savoring my weekly treat reading the Home section of the Washington Post last Thursday, I read an article and viewed photos of the Magnolia Residence China that First Lady Laura Bush unveiled recently.
It will be available for use in the personal residence of the White House.
This is where I learned of Anna Weatherly, the Arlington, Virginia based designer of this absolutely divine hand-painted china. The intricate detail of the artwork featured on these pieces are amazingly life-like. And I have enjoyed browsing pieces Ms. Weatherly has designed, available on various websites including eBay.
Her pieces are also featured in the book, Tablescapes.
I am now looking forward to learning more about Ms. Weatherly and her designs. New discoveries like this make the world of design all the more exciting for me.
