I am probably one of few who has not read the Twilight series. My interest in novels vary, depending on my mood and whether I want to dedicate a certain amount of time to reading because once I start, I'm pretty much absorbed with the book from beginning to end, if it's a good read. And that could mean ignoring my guy for days and getting hardly any sleep.
When I read DaVinci Code several years ago, my guy and I actually shared the audio version. And it was hard to get out of the car when you are zoned into a good storyline. It sure was a pleasant distraction to the rush hour traffic I face daily though.
My friends have frequently discussed their favorite storylines and characters from the Twilight books. And they've even made a date to see the movie on opening day. Hoping my friends see this post, particularly you, Ashlie, as the December issue of InStyle magazine features an article on the Twilight movie. So for any fans of these books, it's worth checking out.
And my serious book-reading-friends are jumping on the bandwagon with owning an Amazon Kindle. It is the neatest piece of electronics for book readers. It helps eliminate the stacks of novels collected around the home and it provides instant gratification.
Instant gratification is what I love most about it. And if I were a serious novel-reader, the Kindle would be on my wish list.
As for Twilight, I'll live vicariously through the excitement of my friends for these novels and the movie. It's fun when a book and/or movie can bring such enthusiasm to our lives.
