It's a question I hear every weekend in our household. And me being the non-cook, I typically respond with 'cereal'. I certainly know how to hold up my fair share of responsibilities in this marriage.
So, last Christmas, my guy received a toaster as a gift from family. A toaster is not high on his wish list but he accepted the gift graciously.
Eventually he took the toaster out of the box and decided to make himself breakfast.
This involved more than just adding a couple slices of bread into the slots. It has an egg cooker and meat warmer attached to the toaster. So he wound up with his own version of an Egg McMuffin by adding an egg into the cooker and a slice of canadian bacon in the meat warmer.
He's very impressed with this contraption (it also comes as a 4 slice toaster and Paula Deen's white toaster). It took a couple months post-Christmas for him to realize it was one of the best gifts he received.
I've enjoyed a number of breakfast sandwiches from this toaster with thanks to my chef. If you are following Weight Watchers, I believe the points are pretty low when using low-fat english muffins and canadian bacon in addition to an egg or egg beater.
And no, I haven't personally used it myself. But I can pour the best bowl of Special K Vanilla Almond cereal you can imagine.
