These are not pretty pictures but I wanted to capture the essence of the undercabinet lighting that were installed today by our expert electrician.
He managed to have all the lights operational under one light switch.
And he did not have to cut into the drywall at all. Wow. I thought I was going to have to put a rush on tiling the backsplash, thinking there would be drywall damage to conceal. Now I can take my time.
We purchased 16" bronze under cabinet fixtures by Counter Attack from Bellacor (and of course they are now on sale). I first discovered the lighting at The Expo and sought a better price online. The lights can be set to low or high and provide the proper accent & task lighting we wanted for the kitchen.
Tomorrow, lighting over the kitchen island will be installed. And since we have no plans for the 4th of July weekend, I think paying a visit to our local paint store would be a fun thing to do. A hot dog in one hand and a paint roller in the other. It sounds like the ideal weekend to me.
