I love a good chocolate, in milk form. For a quick fix if I'm at the mall, Godiva is where I go...just for a piece or two. And Godiva is a fabulous option for gift-giving. Believe me, I would never turn down a basket of Godiva (combined with a bottle of champagne would be extra nice.)
Luxury chocolates....a nice indulgence for special occasions.
How about Belgian chocolates? My best friend turned me on these delectables by Neuhaus, although her preference is dark chocolate. There's also Leonidas. I'm not picky when it comes to fine chocolate from Belgium.
During my visit to London, I discovered Charbonnel et Walker (and I still have the theatre box to prove it - see below photo). Why it's the Queen's chocolatier. Very flavorful chocolates they offer and are well known for their violet and rose creams. And I learned they have a store within Saks in Manhattan.
Chocolate with peanut butter, my guy's all-time favorite...Reese's. We love it when they make the special edition heart, holiday tree, Easter egg and Pumpkin-shaped chocolates. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. They even offer an Elvis Edition Peanut Butter and Banana Creme cups. Oh my. (note to Kathy Y. - I think I found your birthday present.)
I wish I could eat chocolate every day, but in my effort to try to be healthy is getting in the way of my simple pleasures in life. I think the hardest part is eating it guilt-free.
With this post, I ask we give a standing ovation to chocolate and the pleasures it provides our sweet tooth. Here-here chocolate!
